it work? and is it bad for the v-tec solonoid?

They work, and I doubt it's bad for the solenoid unless you really **** up the wiring and short out something.

several people have made them so they do work, but as far as being bad for the solenoid, I dunno, but I doubt it.

i have one and i don't care what people think its really helpful, its pretty discreet and looks stock, it looks really really good at night, i made a setup from a push button's base and a small led light, combined them both together and an awesome looking light that fits nicely into one of my open slots where a button could go but was never there. they are good for learning your car and to impress the chicks! well maybe not.
