Default exhaust dump/cut out valve questions

ok so i am going for a pretty sleeper look and was thinking about getting an exhaust dump or cutoff valve. its a little thing that attaches to your exhaust before your cat which when activated via the pull of a wire thing it changes your exhaust from full exhaust through cat and muffler to pretty much no exhaust where its dumping out before the cat, i would probibly weld on another piece and make some sort of discreet side exit pipe so as to not fill my cabin with gasses.

my question is does anyone have one of these and if so how do you like it? how well does it seal when in normal exhaust mode?

are there any sizes above 2.25" as thats all i have seen and my down pipe is like 2.5" (i think, gotta remeasure it) and id rather not put in a reducer as it will kill the turbos performance when in normal mode, or would it even make that much of a difference?

the other option is to get the one from summit racing that just has 3 butterfly bolts that you unscrew to let the exhaust out, which would be good for the track and planned races. i can also get those in pretty much any dia piping so depending on the replies i might just do that.

here is my setup
94vx hatch
b16a sirII
hks turbo manifold
t28 turbo
full 2.5" exhaust
and some other good stuff.

i know, i found another cord activated one thats 2.25 in but thats too small, im running turbo and would rather not completely kill my normal exhaust performance.

I had one in my old car, 2.5 inch, think it was from an American muscle car shop locally. It had a line that ran into the car that you pull to open it up (looked like a choke line). Only bad thing was it closed itself using a spring, and tension wasn't tight enough to keep itself shut completely under normal driving, so it leaked pretty bad. I imagine if I had changed the spring, it would have been better.

cool, one company makes an electronic one that sounds pretty cool and has 3" piping but its 150 bones. i might just get one of those pull cord ones and while its out get a new spring in it.
