Default Thanks to John & Marvin at M&H

I was a pleasure seeing you again John, and meeting Marvin as well. Your input has opened up a pletora of ideals towards solving my traction woes.

It was a shame that I could not put on a good show and explore more options with you yesterday at Battle, in Bakersfield. My new found power proved to be too much for my current clutch set up. A solution will present itself this week and I send you more data on my tyre results.

On behalf of RS Machine, Torco Motor Oils, and my other sponsors: Thank you for your invaluable assistance and support!

Our thought and prayers go out to your Father, as well.

Sir Bone,
I have a very simple 4 puck Action Clutch set up which I have run for years. All season, due to traction problems, I have been running with less than optimum timing.

For the Bakersfield event, as a promise to my sponsors, it was a goal to break records. This prompted me to obtain new slicks, and adjust my timimg to take advantage of the full potential of my Single Cam motor.

My clutch started to slip in 1st gear; then 2nd; then 3rd. Upon removal, the system was glazed and I did not have a spare available. Not bad for a 4 year old clutch system!!

I will have another clutch designed for me today, that will handle my near 400hp.

Thanks for the info Bisi.......

Did your old Action setup have a sprung hub????

Mine you, my car MUST be daily driveable (Kaaz, HAHA!) but I need a better clutch. I'm looking into a Spec Stage 2 or 3, or RPS Tubro setup.

I've always preached a "soft" clutch to same the driveline. My used (it was free!) CenterForce Dual Friction just didn't like the Ford injector upgrade.

You may think that I am crazy, but on the street I ran a single diaphram, 6 puck unsprung Action clutch. This unit was ideal for me thoughout my college years, and lasted me through my D-series race combo.

I would highly advise you to all Alex at Action: 323-269-6051

I hope that helps.

Bisi- I saw your car at Maryland last month. Sucks that you had problems in the final. Good luck on getting lower times in the near future.
