Roll Call for the Houston NDRA Event?
Just wondering who's all going to show up for the Houston NDRA event on August 30 & 31st? I will be there, hopefully with all the bugs fixed. I hope to see most of the big dogs out there, and i hope it wont be as hot as last week!

I'll be in the pits once again, boys.
If anyone needs some pit crew help, let me know. My car will debut Oct. 18-19 at RCR in Seguin, so until then, I can at least turn some wrenches or swap tires if any of you guys need help.

why would you not run with a Cage when your sig says you have run 10s? This is for your safety.NHRA has been around for over 50 years and seen many tragic accidents and deaths. They make runs and saftey regulations for the drivers not for them selfs. If Nopi lets you run they get a BIG
. If money is more important than the saftey of the drivers... i couldnt even fill in the blanks.NHRA

well, it's the owner's decision to do what they want with their car - we all made the power and raced around all the time before we had cages. All NHRA tracks are supposed to kick you off for 11.99 and faster w/o a cage; some tracks like RCR in Seguin are not NHRA tracks and therefore they do not require you have a cage. Sometimes you can get away with it and sometimes you can't; you just need to decide if you want to wager your $50 entry fee with the possibility of being kicked off. My guess is that the 2nd place winner would probably contest to get 1st place, but you never know. Sometimes the officials will make that decision w/o anyone contesting. And as far as safety goes, people with rollcages die too; just because you have all of the safety equiptment for a race's standards, doesn't mean you're invinceable. Some people don't care to spend $1500 for a nice cage when they're only planning to run at the track a few times a year. As far as NOPI goes, I doubt they'll let it slide, but that's just my two pennies.

of course there is a reason why those rules are made, but it is a personal choice.........
NOPI doesn't really enforce the rules that much......until a competitor complains, then they do get on it pretty good

"why would you not run with a Cage when your sig says you have run 10s? This is for your safety."-- you are correct. I have a cage for that very reason. But as shami mentioned not everyone has one. Some of my friends do & some don't that will attend. But more importantly we need a good turnout in houston. We have lost alot of the races because of poor turnouts. Patronize the sport you love. .. If anything qualify in the 12's and turn it up for eliminations.
