Default poor gas milage.. very poor

well, i noticed lately i've only been getting like 190 miles per tanks, which is about 20 MPG or so which sucks.. i got this car for the milage which should be in the 30s.. i ran 2 cans of b12 chem cleaner through it and i think it helped, what are signs of sticking injectors and what else could cause this, i already replaced the o2 sensor i thought it helpped for awhile but it didn't.. this is really bothering me i'm gonna throw on the A/F gauge from my accord to see how rich it is running. But please tell me what else to look for
thanks

Pull the plugs and see what your engine is doing. Do a search on google for reading plugs and you should be able to find the basics. Also check your ignition timing. It could be a number of things but this is where I would start.

yeah i figured i'd try that, proally just change out the injectors since i have some laying around, i'm really hoping its just a sticking injector, or maybe a stuck FPR i mean, it couldn't be much else. the plugs are fairly new

wow, you get about same MPG as my V8, lol. How big is your tank? must be pretty small if you only go 190 miles with 20mpg, I get about 250

Low tire pressure, Bad O2, clogged Air filter, using A/C, plugs/wires/cap/rotor gon bad, or any of the other 10 or so sensors might have gone bad....by the way, what car/engine do you have?

it could also be the way you drive it, where do you shift at? I noticed when I drive pretty hard to get movin at stop lights my gas milage drops considerably...

the car is an 89 HB d15b2 with the MPFI conversion SI cam shaft, Si ECU from a 90. I drive pretty hard most of the time shifting at 4500 or so.. but i still think the gas milage should be at least high 20s, i havn't driven it in a couple days, due to the weather being hot as hell, and all my trips have been long.. hopefully the fuel injector cleaner worked and it was just a sticking injector?

Yeah my gas mileage is close to 20 mpg too even though I shift just after 3 sometimes. I have a jdmb16 in my rex guess I'll try checking what those dudes said.

Thats the same way with my Isuzu 2.3 carbed. I get 18 mpg most of the time just regular driving. My friends 1500 GMC with a 5.7 in it gets the same mileage.... It's been tuned up and timed back to stock (it was 6* advanced...), new plugs/wires, new dizzy rotor and cap, carb cleaner, new air filter, and it got about 20 for almost a month... Now its back at 18....

Check engine compression too. Usually if a car is misfiring a good tune-up fixes the problem. (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, qualtiy o2 sensor) I just got NGK wires and I am suprised at how much of a difference NEW wires can make.
