Hows the engine, does it burn oil ? If the body is in good shape and the engine ain't bad, it seems pretty good.

88 Si's have slightly different rear suspension than the 89 through 91. It's actually a better design and more desirable than the latter. Try a search and you'll see what I mean. The 88's are the lightest of all 2G. crx's also which is a plus. I'd say go for it! Just realize that the rust is going to spread like cancer so get that taken care of Immediately, otherwise it sounds like a sweet deal for $500.

For $500 you can't really loose unless it was rusted to crap.

I don't know about desirable, companies are not making a lot of things for the 88 rear suspension anymore. A lot of people upgrade to the 89 suspension because it has more after market support. Just make sure the frame ain't rusted to bad.

Now when you say make sure the frame isn't too badly rusted, what are you referring to? the undercarriage? Or like the pillars and body?

Sell it to me for gods sake.

My CRX was my favorite car....great car in a small package.

Who cares about engine or anything....CHECK the body....those cars are impossible to find in good shape.....Most of the ones I come accross are 90% rust and dust.

get the body looked at....especially the frame....dont care about anything esthetic for 500$...and even if the motor is shot...its not too bad of a deal if the body is good

??? for 500$...BOTHER with it...you wont regret it....mechanical isnt a problem....any car can be fixed if it has a good frame.

i have to say i would rather light $500 on fire rather than buy a honda period. let alone a crx, which quite possibly could be the gayest vechicle ever made.

For a not annoying fart sound from the exhaust look at an Apexi, greddy sp, Dc sports , and also Tanabe hyper meddalion I think.
