can you push start it? try that. i had a ghetto *** alarm on my old car and i took it off. i did some other work and it ended up being the started not being connected.
No havent tried that yet.I bet its probably the wiring somewhere down there close to the fuse box. I just checked the starter fuse thats still good, the starter is good on the car.
Do you get any power, like accesory power,radio,ect... If it is JUST that your car won't turn over than you probably didn't hook you ignition kill switch back up right. When you pulled your alarm out did you take off you ignition relay for your starter kill?
Yeah, my radio does not work anymore, it didnt come on anymore after i took off the alarm. The clock and backlight for the guages still works, i dont know about the ignition kill switch, how does that look like there are so many wires down there.Yeah the clock does not turn on anymore, but which is the ignition relay or switch look like? But the car wont just turn over i get power everywhere else except for the radio, i may have blown the fuse for the radio.
It would have been a part of your alarm, not connected to the alarm there probably would've been one wire from your alarm to this relay. I don't have a pic but they're small about an 1" square. The ignition kill relay taps into your starter wire and it breaks the circuit when the alarm is armed. This prevents thieves from hot-wiring the car while the alarm is activated. they usually hide them around the steering column close to the ignition wires. They try and hide them to keep them out of sight and hard to find but like i said there should be one wire that goes to this relay. Try going through your wires that you cut, sort them out and completely remove ALL alarm wires don't leave anything in there that shouldn't be there. GOOD LUCK
Thanks for the replies.I tried to troubleshoot the issue all day.Im just gonna have the car towed to a auto electric shop on tuesday, and have it fixed. Thanks for the replies though.
man that sucks you can't figure it out, I have the most fun troubleshooting and trying to figure things out, especially when you know that nothing is prolly broke and the answer lies right there under the dash somewhere....Anyway's good luck to ya.
Starter kill relay is the black and white wire that goes to the igntion switch harness right at the fuse box? I had to reconnect the black and white wire using connectors, still cant start it.
