Default Question about B20 swap problems

Have B20 long block, Manual. running on P75 ecu (OBD2). in 97 Civic.

I'm still having trouble with my idle. I think i have found part of the problem though. I took my engine apart, painted valve cover and the stock rusted POS header till i can aford to buy an upgrade. After i put my car back together. The idel was more or less fixed. Still ran high, but didn't bounce around shitty like before.

However, I had the turbo lag effect. If i stomp on the gas, it wouldn't "go" for at least 2-3 seconds, then you could feel a huge burst in speed.

I looked under the hood, and found one of the pins on the O2 sensor down under my car at the collector, was disconnected. Soon as i reconnected it, the idle went shitty again. But the car ran well when i steped on the gas.

ANYONE have any ideas? I was told by a few people, that even though i have 2 02 sensors, one of which is supposed to be after a cat converter, not having a cat would not cause any problems. Right now i'm runnin straight back no cat, no rez. no nothing. Just big 2 1/4" pipe.

I'd check the timing belt, to make sure it's not off by a tooth, and slap a timing gun on it. Other than that, is it throwing any codes? And did it throw any when you had the wires on the O2 disconnected? If not, and it was running like that, you may just have a bum ecu. Also, check the voltage on the tps, and checl for vaccum leaks.

It was tossing 41 (i think) for the O2 sensor being out.. WHich is why i checked it and found the fucked up plug.

It is also saying IACV.. code.. 14.... Now this is probably a good reason why it idles like **** however. It used to throw the TP sensor code (7). but that was a wiring problem. So instead of spending 170 bucks to get a new IACV, i'd rather make sure that is the problem.

Don't have code 54 plugged in even.. which is CKF Sensor (crank shaft speed)... hope thats not a problem but B20 doesn't even have it.

anyway to sum it up.. The only codes that are rally a problem are IACV and both O2 sensors. One of which i fixed.

If anyone knows a lot about the o2 sensor situation on OBD2 please post and let me know. WHich ones need to be where and how important they are to the car running.

Anyone have any tips on how to test TP sensor? Mine "was" having problems for a while, but when it wasn't functioning correctly the car would cut out at 1500 rpms. Wouldn't rev higher. I fixed a wiring issue, and it seemed to work correctly. And it isn't throwing a TP sensor code.

I'm considering getting new O2 sensors, checking the wires on that and probably a new IACV.

Maybe this will fix my problem. I just hope the money isn't wasted for nothing.

Anyone have any ideas or sites I can visit for info about checking sensor and wiring problems?
