I need help figureing out why my brake light won't turn on when i press the brake. Oh and my brakes still works.

It started when i got home and was hooking up the third brake light. I think i might have touched the pos and neg together when i was taping them back up.

I've check the fuse and all the bulbs. Everything is fine. Could it be the wires that are shot?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

 

check the switch on the brake petal. one wire is 12v. the other runs out to the lights
