Default 2 1/2" Collector w/ 2 1/4" Test Pipe ?

Just wondering if this setup would bottleneck my B18C5 enough to kill my top end. Thanks.

The stock collector on the ITR is 2". And yes it will limit your top end. More so then a 2.5" test pipe will. Enough to where I wouldn't do it. I mean those donut gaskets aren't cheap. Why not get a 2.5"? They are cheap to be made.

I'm running a JDM header with a 2 1/2" collector and the test pipe was from my previous setup and i didn't have time to get a 2 1/2" replacement made.

Well, I happen to have a new 2.5" donut gasket that I bought but never used. Let me know if you are interested.

anything that goes from BIG to small is not good. Just go with 2.5" piping all the way.

Do you still have that 2 1/2" collector donut? I'll be in San Jose in a few weeks and if the price is right I'll pick it up of you. I hope a 2 1/2" test pipe will help my top end. For some reason, my B16A pulled better in VTEC. I'm thinking because of the bottleneck effect.any ideas?

Nah, my Type R has alot more low and midrange. I'm still thinking that I'm getting restricted somewhere. With the B16A, I don't think it needed a larger diameter piping. I think I do now. I'm still running 2 1/4" exhaust piping.
