anyone see a red hatch running low 12's friday night at edgewater?

 

called "Ricewater" to us locals.

It will run 11's with slicks. nice setup though

 

Tim went 11.2 on street tires, his will run 10's on slicks.

549 whp at the Cincy Speed Dyno day.

9psiHybrid (Robbie) could do the same......

12's on a stock block SOHC with just nitrous and slicks..........I'll show youn when I get the clutch.

I was there friday night, red eg hatch, 12.4@122 on street tires. Theres a few people on this board that know him..... His setup rips .
Believe it or not it was on a stock clutch.

Do you have more info on this car that ran 11.2 on street tires? Is that the hatch from basz racing?

 

That would be who he's reffering to. If I recall though that wasn't on street tires, correct me if I'm wrong please.

 

I went 13.27 on slicks with a stock clutch and a SOHC VTEC on spray.

BFG Drag Radials are considered a street tire. Tim from BASZ need to go full slicks and be the first 10 sec Honda in the Nati.

Robbie, aka 9psihybrid was running 225/50/15 BFG DR last october to run a weak 12.0. He had tuning issues from switching to race gas.

Robbie and Tim have "played" against each other, heard it was pretty fair shoot out.

For those NOT in the Nati, me and Tim don't get along. But I still give him props for the his effort. Tim had "sinking" sleeve issues along time ago from crappy machine work. Tim has "matured" alot lately, doing a fine job.

 

22x8x15 MT's= Not street tire. Thats what he was running when I saw his 11.6x pass at 130+. I didn't see the 11.2 pass soon after but heard it happened.

when did he go a 11.2 on street tires? i heard he went close to that but on full slicks.

thats my friends car that was at edgewater...as GITWIDIT mentioned hes still on a stock clutch and was having some problems with the clutch slipping and not being able to shift smoothly (lots of grinding)..he went a 12.2@120 last week at kilkare but couldnt match that at edgewater...

once he gets a clutch and lsd there will be another street tire civic in the 11's...FYI robbie ran an 11.88 on street tires, and as far as i know thats about the fastest ive heard of on street tires on a street car...both levi with the red hatch and robbie are full interior too

22x8x15's suck so bad IMFO they might as well have been street tires. No sidewall.

Either way, both Tim and Robbie are WAY faster, but I have least amount spent.

12's on a stock block Z6 with juice is my goal. Due to money issues I don't expect it till next spring.

Just wait for the supercharger!!!!!

in refering to robbies and the basz civic, yeah who can argue that they arent faster...they both put down well over 500whp...trick is putting that hp to the ground, hp means nothing at the track when you cant control it....i remember watching the old basz integra with over 500whp running 12's at kilkare last year..

you hear about the run in basz had with the zx12? i heard it was pretty ugly..given that is a bike, it was mostly stock and they did race from a roll to high speeds and the bike pulled quite a few cars and kept pulling.

anyone wanting to get a look at the red hatch this thread started about come down to IRP for the import and truck bash on saturday...we'll be there racing...given it obviously isnt the fastest hatch in the world..low 12's on a civic with full interior, stock clutch, open diff. and old drag radials isnt too shabby...hes only running 18psi too...

You have to respect Tim and what he's accomplished. He's come a long way and certainly the man on top right now in the Natty, no doubt about that. Indy should be pretty killer this weekend.

Damn, I didnt know there were this many H-T'ers in cincinnati. Is anybody going to nopi in ATl? We have a nice group going down, a couple of 1.8t vw and a few hybrid's. The show is ok, the street racing is killer. Anyways, kilkare is 10xs better than edgewater, or at least 2 1/10's of a second better. It was for me.

 

yeah josh you should definitely come to the next import day. Id love to see your car run.

yes kilkare is much better then ricewater, just watch for the bump in the left lane....

 

tim just got some 26x8.5x15 slicks but it will be a few weeks before they are tried out, had a slight mishap on columbia parkway

This is a whole different setup than a JRSC.
