crx hvac controls question

Default crx hvac controls question

i have an 88 crx si and the hvac controls are all cracked and broken. is it possible to use some from a hf or dx? or even a civic?

ALL 2G CRX hvac controls are the same and will swap n/p.
The civics I believe are cable actuated and are not swapable. The CRX controls are electric/servo operated and the civics are NOT.
Get some confirmation though 1st.

You could use a civic climate control panel, but you would have to remove the servos from the crx hvac system. Try to get a crx one if you possibly can, it will be much eaiser to deal with.

i think i'd rather use the manual hvac control from the civic...how hard is it to swap that in?

I wouldn't know where to begin. I guess you'll need to remove the servos and the elertrical connectors. Then find a way to jerry-rig the actuator levers and then get the civic actuator cables and find a way to attach them to your home made levers.LOL Make sure you don't remove the connectors and wires for the nightime illumination though. LOL
