Default '97 GSR /'01 LS wheel weight info found.

Just fyi,
I've always been under the impression that my wheels ('97 GSR) were light, but today I finally put them on a digital scale and they weigh only 15.02lbs! That's pretty good if you ask me. I think that makes them the lightest GSR wheels (I know the '96 ones are like 15.8-16.2 or something like that).

Eh, I don't think they look bad at all. In fact, I love them. That was pretty rude. I've already done the 17" wheel thing on mu last car, this one is simply classy purpose-oriented mods.

I agree, I think that they are the best looking stock rims.

Calvin, that might have been rude but you got to admit that when you first got the car you said they were the ugliest year wheels.......but like all things honda, i guess they grow on you.......like the RSX

I said I like them the least out of gsr wheels when I first got it. I never said I didn't like them. The worst wheels are the LS wheels from the '98-99 years (mesh but flat and Fugly) and the '96 GSR wheels . But even then, I don't post "Your **** is stank" when people post pics of those wheels (people have too).

Anyway, I like them a lot. The only GSR wheels I like more are the 98+ ones which are just too sweet.

EDIT: I think the SI rims will weight more just by looking at them compared to the others (this is just a guess mind you). They seem to have a lot of metal and hardly any gaps in them. It think all the GSR/SI wheels wiegh under 17lbs anyway. -C

EDIT2: SAMAGON: nice to see another '97 GSR, I see the least number of GSR's in that year (I look too).

i'm just all about the sleeper look....and on a lowered teg, I like the mesh better than the 98+ GSR's...plus those are a little too close to chrome for me...

Default My 2000 LS Agrees

I like mine, they sure shine when clean! Like mirrors!

They suck to clean though!

PS: Does anyone wax their rims?

Would someone be so kind as to tell me why would you put those side fog lights on your car, when rice is already out of control?

Purpose-oriented mods are good, but what purpose do those serve?

LSR

side fog lights?

the are sidemarkers...i dunno if his are, but on european cars they serve the purpose of displaying a turn signal...which i think is quit useful

Well first off, they were on the car when I bought it.
Secondly, all the european and JDM cars have them. It's much safer because people beside you can see that you are signaling. Mine have amber bulbs in them so they look stock at night (the VW's have similar ones in the US).

'01 GSR, wanna trade?

As mentioned above these lights do serve a purpose and it does make it much easier to reconignize when a person is signaling, especially if you happen to be in their blind spot and they start a lane change .

Its funny, because there is not one USDM integra here in the states that comes STOCK with those side markers, it seems that if something does not come on the car from the dealer then why cut holes just to put them there? A mod with no TRUE purpose.

They might make your car safe.....but they are rice.

OK, I wasn't going to flame, but you've said too much. Listen "LS" owner the JDM integra, including the JDM ITR, come with sidemarkers and they are by no means 'rice.' That word is over used.

RICE, if I must spell it out to you, is when you give your car the look of performance (or at least try to; it usually comes off tacky) and your car is slow. Sorry, No LS owner isn't going to call my clean gsr with no visual mods (beside clean sidemarkers that CAME with the F*ing car when I bought it a year ago) rice. I'd beat you all motor, and I'd beat you with the Nitrous(even if I couldn't, it wouldn't change anything). You have no room to talk at all. Post pics of your car and your time slips. Here, let me show you what clean, fast cars are SON:

1st project:
'93 Integra LS
Engine Modifications:
1999 Canada Spec B18C5 (TypeR),Block Decked .46mm resulting in 11.1:1 Compression Ratio, Polished Crankshaft, JDM CTR cams, Skunk2 Adjustible Cam gears, PYR 64mm Throttle body, JDM b16a head, JUN Racing valve springs(32), DOHC VTEC MUGEN Ecu (9.xx Rev limit), B&M fuel pressure riser, JDM S1 transmission, NGK plugs, Integra TypeR intake manifold, MSD RPM switch to give Vtec adjustibility, OBDII to OBDI conversion, JDM Integra TypeR Valve Cover, Phat Polished Alluminum Honda Oil cap, No power Steering (removed).

Intake Modifications:
Custom 3"Mandrel-bent intake with 12" K&N filter..

Exhaust Modifications:
Monza 2 1/4" Cat-Back Exhaust, Ported/polished Monza headers, 4" Stainless steel exhaust tip.

Suspension / Handling Modifications:
Neuspeed race springs.

Wheels/Tires:
17" 10-spoke ADR Phase-I wheels with 205/55ZR17Yoko A520's.

Interior Modifications:
Autometer Tach with 10K rpm limit, Autometer oil pressure guage, Autometer Air/Fuel ratio gauge, B&M fuel pressure gauge, Autometer dual carbon fiber gauge pods, carbon fiber shift ****, custom short-shifter.

Sound System Modifications:
Sony 40 x 4 detachable face CD player, Pyramid 240W x 2 amp with Pioneer 400W 12" subs, pioneer 3-way 6" tweeters.

I'm not going to bother posting my current stuff (it's on the site in the sig), but I Imagine in your stupid defintion of 'Rice' teh 17" wheels on the above car is rice. Bullshit. All the cars on my site I build by hand from the ground up, ie blood sweat and tears went into them, and you have no room to critisise anyone.

An Integra owner CANNOT call a Supra TT stock, or running 11's RICE not matter how outrageous it looks. Call it tacky, but not rice. Tacky doesn't equal rice, and cars like the above are not either. Adding features to your car that weren't 'stock' isn't 'rice.' Under that definition, adding Subwoofers are rice just like doing a JDM conersion or adding 17" wheels. Think before you speak.

-C

BTW, this IS a flame, but you deserve it.
