Default Irwindale and barona times - help?

I'm using 20x6x14 M&H slicks. lsvtec eg6 178 hp. R&D dyno
stock gsr tranny, ACT full face disk, but stock pressure plate.

I two passes at Irwindale's 1/8 track a few months ago and I launched at 4 -4500.
I barely warmed my tires up. 15 psi on tires.
here are my approximate times since my slips are in my car.

rt-.585
60' - 2.1
1/8 - 8.99
mph 78

rt-.567
60' - 2.0
1/8 - 8.95
mph 78

then we went to barona's new track.
I redlighted a grip of times which was weird cuz I never usually redlight. Anyways, when I did get a clean pass, it just wasnt happening. I heated up my tires more than I did at Irwindale. Not too long burn outs. Tire pressure was at 13psi and launching at around 5000. Traction wasnt nearly as good as Irwindale.

rt-.848
60' - 2.068
et - 9.179
mph - 76.7

rt- .622
60' - 2.125
et - 9.216
mph 77.343

60' - 2.314
et - 9.362
mph 77.56
rt-.642

What do u guys suggest on what I should do. What should my tire pressure be and where should I launch at? why do u guys think my times dropped from one place to the other. I went to Both places at night so the weather was nice and cool. The only factor that was different was that I think Barona was at over 1000ft in elevation if im correct and I dont know about Irwindale but I know its lower than that. WHat do you guys think>?
By the way, I will soon be using 22x8x13 M&H - what tire pressure should I go with that and what rpm launch?

I have raced on the BArona track before. there is by far more traction than Irwindale. The big difference in the time is the corrected elevation. There have been times when the elevation has been corrected to about 4000 feet. you just need to take a little fuel out. I would still race Barona vs. Irwindale

I like barona a lot. dont get me wrong. There were so many things that were going on that night that usually didnt happen. forinstance, I redlighted like 6 times, and I've never usually do that, the traction thing, and all my times. I dont know, maybe it just wasnt my night u know!? But we're going again on the 20th.

If you go with the 8/22-13 I would start out @ 12psi and go down from their. Good Luck John@M&H P.S. We do not make a 6/20-13 M&H?

i've only raced my ride @irwindale 2x, i hit an 8.7 @ 80 mph, but if i were you i would launch a little higher, i launched @ 7000. i have an eg si, all stock h22a, 2.5 inch exhaust, stock intake, and header, w/ slicks.

i would get bigger slicks. some 8-22-13s would be nice. I ran my bone-stock b20vtec swap w/ a b16 trans @ irwindale w/ some MHs and was able to get in the mid 8s. 8.5 @79 was probably my best time, and i was cutting 1.8 60fts w/ some nasty *** camber. i was launching around 6500-7500. i was using a new stock pressplate and clutch disk. i learned the hard way using a 6 puck and breaking axles. i also started around 10 psi on the slicks and eventually got them down to 8psi. i wouldnt know how harsh ur clutch grabs, so just ease ur way each run and see if launching higher helps. pray u dont break axles.

were u at Irwindale w/ a Red EG too? I was the someone hit that identical time. The driver said he just put the motor in the car. It was a b20 vtec w/ like ctr cams or something. Anyways, my 8x22x13's are on their way but my rims arent gonna come in for another month.

the acutal altatude is indeed about 1000ft. however as we all know you need to consider humidity and temp. and other variables. On one of the first days that it was open the corrected altatude was about 4000ft.

what are the chancecs man? that was u. but the person that I saw drive the car, whom was the person I spoke to, was not the owner. The owner was off to the side. The driver of the care said that he just put the motor in the car and that he was testing it at the track. He did say it was a stock b20 vtec with ctr cams. My friend actually taped that night and I have that car on tape. That car was fast as hell for being stock man. good ****! that car jumped so hard off the line.
