I don't know if I got it right. The speedo does not work after the engine swap. how exactly does it clip in? I pushed it in as far as it would go then pulled it out about 1mm so the wire clip thing would go on, but it does not work.

Well theres a little tooth on the tip so you have to twist it around while pushing it in till it drops in and either makes a "click" sound or you feel it sorta lock in place. Then you put on the little C clip. If you think you have it right pop the panel off the top of your gauge cluster and check to be sure the cable going into the speedo is secure.

 

Yeah, I had the same problem, and kept pulling it back out and trying to ram it back in, til one day it just kept going down into the transmission. It felt like it went half a foot. haha. But after that, I put the little metal thing that bolts onto the tranny back on, and the speedo worked ever since.
