Default Getting an EG under 2000lbs daily driven

Im starting to gut out my 1993 civic cx, in hopes to get it down to at least 1999 lbs. I weighed it when i got it at 2160 lbs. Since then i have removed the front and rear bumper supports, rear seats/spare tire. What else can i rip out that wont affect my car for daily driving. Is it even possible to get it under 2000lbs without getting fiberglass body panels etc.?

Serious weight? Drop the factory fuel tank for a plastic fuel cell.

Yes, a big risk. I would not take the bumpers of of my car. Especially if you are using it as a daily driver.

If you see a car coming at you, just jump out and role, Indian Jones style. Your chances of living are probably better. Good Luck

Daily driven 1860lbs with a full tank.
VX wheels help. Two seats are 66 pounds. Take one out.

And yes, I know, it's not legal.

I would say that removing your bumper supports would DEFINITELY affect daily driving. If you get in a minor accident, you'll have major damage, and your insurance co. will not be too happy.

My car rite now is 2160, thats with a full tank, b18b, full interior, 4 speakers, gsr f/r susp, 14" wheels, apexi coilovers, del sol seats. The only weight reduction was removal of entire a/c system, replaced 15lb airbag wheel with 5lb sparco (5 lbs with quick release attached), and no spare.

I want to go back to the scale today, because my entire car is completely gutted and my gas is low. When I put a d - motor in, I'll surely be under 2000.

Bumper supports only work under 5mph conditions.
Although I do agree that your insurance company might not be too happy.
Have you ever seen these freakin supports? They're pretty good material yet held on by only a few 10MM and they're thin. My point is that in a 40MPH crash it aint gonna do much.
