Default code 6 & 16 after trans swap?!

i just finished my 4 to 5 speed swap and upon starting (or attempting to start) the car i threw a CEL and im gettin a 6 and a 16. from doing a search, it looks like the 16 code is common on the std's with 1.5's even when they run fine. but the coolant temp sensor code is boggling be. 1. i cant find it AND 2. i didnt touch it.
any ideas??

code 6 u might have unplugged the lil coolant temp sensor that is right under the dizzy.. common mistake to have it loosen when tranny swaping...

as for the code 16. thats a bad injector.... u either again have an injector unplugged.... recheck all conections...also reset ecu to make they are legit codes and not momentary failures

The 4 things you need to run an engine -

Fuel/Air mixture
Spark
Compression
Timing

If you just pulled the motor, swapped the tranny, all in one day, then you would have all of that, given that the engine ran before you pulled it. Check your plug wires and make sure that you have them in the right order, and on the right plug at the distributor. You may be getting spark, but not at the right time....

That is the way mine is looking at it from the right side of the car. I don't know what engine you have, but it should be the same. I think thats the same way it is on my 1G CRX. I don't really know whats going on with your car then... When you turn it over, does it sound like it is trying to start like it bubbles and what not, or is it just the starter turning it over and over?

You're saying that you have fuel in the intake manifold?

thats what it looks like. when u look down past the butterfly, u can see a refection of yourself. so i giggled the car and id sloshed around. so its a fluid of some sort. my guess is maybe bad injectors. like there just dripping fuel instead of spraying them. i tried to pull them to have a look, but i couldnt get them out. im gonna try get a new set and see. can hurt since they have 160k on them.

are you using the stock DPFI manifold? if so it is common for the injectors to go out try finding another complete manifold or do the mpfi swap and start from there, mine did the same thing and i done the mpfi swap and now i am running 10.1 with a 1.6 civic si motor

turned out to be nothing. i gave up and trailor'd the car to the shop. they cleaned the plugs after crankin the car for a while, gave the sedt. a tap for good luck and she fired after a few more cranks.
