Hey guys!

I am in the process of putting my engine back together after a head gasket install and I am stumped about a strange pipe I have found hanging under my intake manifold. I dont remember disconnecting it when I was under the car removing the IM brace. Here is a description:

Looking under the car, the pipe originates on the bottom left (driver's side) of the intake. This pipe is very short and I cant find anywhere that this pipe plugs into. Unlike every other rubber pipe under the hood, this one has a dark grey plastic fitting on the end that is held on by the typical metal clamps. The pipe is about 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter. I think it might be just a vent pipe of some kind but I really have no clue since I dont remember removing it or even seeing it until I began putting it all back together. My manual doesnt mention anything about it and I am totally stumped!

Anyone have any ideas??

not sure but does your engine have a little black canister on the back of the engine? If so it might plug into there. Check it out. Other than that I have no idea.

DOH! I found it. Theres a little black "cannister" under the IM next to the block, I am not sure what its called, but the pipe just plugs into there on the side of the cannister where I couldnt see it! I cant believe I didnt find that till now!

 

PCV line.......to vapor cannister.........doh.
