Default AWD Civic

i was just reading about an 89 AWD civic HB. yes you read that correctly. do a search if you dont believe me. ok well i am sure some people have heard about it or came across it a time or two. hell i am sure someone has already asked the question i am about to ask, before. anyways here goes....

in 89 there was an awd civic hb and wagon as well as an awd integra zxi. they were powered by a weak ZC motor and never really caught on cause of lack of power. anyways...i was wondering if the parts from the HB could be swapped over to a CRX? anyone have any clue.

also this brings up another idea. much like honda tuning is doing...awd integra type-r...maybe this combined with that could lead us to an AWD Bseries CRX...i dont think weight would be a problem and well well all know the crx with the bseries is a beast...imagine the possibilities of awd added to that. anyhow enough rambling. i jsut wanted to see what everyone else thought. flame me if you must.....

well if you were smart you could get a civic and ****** the whole drive train out of a crv then get a custom drive shaft for the rear end. then bam have fun welding.

A local guy is doing an AWD Del Sol, same principles apply. He is building it to hold a turbo, N2O, and use an Auto trans?!?!

After looking at those pics, I see the guy took it to the track. I wonder what he ran, his time slips were hard to read.

ahh yeah forgot about that. there is a big difference in AWD and realtime 4wd...

also i wanted to add that personally i dont find the ZC to be weak, otherwise it wouldnt be a popular swap on the older generations...thats just what i gathered from alot of other websites and most of it is their wording....

i am actually thinking about attempting to do this RT4WD conversion on one of my EK coupes since its trash right now anyways, i am in debt on it and wont ever be able to trade it in reasonably, so time to start hacking away....i am going to look at a wrecked CRV right now....
