Default top dead center sensor

what is this. im throwing this code?? what does it do and will it affect my performance?? its a jdm b16a in a 93 cx hatch running a chipped p28

The sensor is in the distributor along with two others that control the ignition timing. I believe the TDC sensor is only used during starting. It could just be that distributor harness is loose. If the sensor is bad, you might as well just replace the whole distributor.

you can use a ohm meter to test the wires. they should read .05-1.k ohm. if not then you will need to replace the distributor.


if they do read right then check your timing and make sure your tdc center mark lines up.

i put in my friends p30 and took my car for a ride. i didnt throw any codes and it seemed to pull harder in vtec. could i have a p28 for an auto tranny? how can i tell?
