Max wheel size on 4WS?
I ran 225/45/15 with a 38mm offset wheel for track events only. You will definitely need to roll your fenders and it is pointless to go that wide on a street car. I currently run 215/40/17 on a 40mm offset. However, this is a larger diameter tire than stock so they slow the car down and make the steering feel a little strange. At the time the car was turbo so I did not care about the loss in torque. 215mm is a great width on a 3rd gen IMO. I assume you are talking about aftermarket wheels. My 17s are 7" wide. You generally don't want to go but one size wider than stock on stock wheels. I think the stock tires are 195 so you could run 205s. I have no idea what the guys above is talking about and am not sure he does either. The rear wheels don't turn that dramatically. Long as you run an offset of 38 or higher and don't go wider than 215 you should be fine. Stick with 40mm offset to be safe.
Thanks for the info. Its good to get a solid answer. My only problem is that I am stuck on Borbet's Type E wheel which only comes in 16x7.5 (that I have found) Thats too wide right? Or since its a 16 can I go .5 larger width? I am assuming you have a 4WS(?) Thanks
the fact that you have 4WS doesn't matter. any wheel/tire combo that fits 2WS will work just as well with 4WS.
you should be able to use 16x7.5 wheels with out any problem. I recommend going with 215/45/16 or 205/45/16 depending on which size is available for the tire type you choose.

An acquintance of mine from Australia put them on just to take a picture. But you have to increase the outside diameter of your wheels so much that the steering feels heavy and strange and you lose a bunch of torque. 17s are as big as I would go on a 3rd gen.
