2 freakin hours late for work (worked 17hrs yesterday) flew past a yellow van - a mile up the road i see a cop in a camaro - i slow down - he pulls me over, he asks how fast i was driving - i say "aaaaa... i dunno" he said the van was equipped with laser - clocked me at 101 in a 55!!!!!!!! - guy said i was lucky he wasn't bring me to court then and there, and wrote me a ticket for 101 in a 55, how am i gunna eexplain that to the judge? ans. I'm getting a lawyer so he can do the explaining - no mods for a while - thats gonna be a heathy fine - i need to mellow out
Ouch..
I got clocked doing a 100 in a 50 in Utah once on my bike...
I was going over some hills, and passed a truck. Next thing I know this "truck" sped up... turned out it wasn't the truck, but a chp officer i passed on an onramp...
he felt bad for me freezing my *** off in the middle of the night and let me go..

can they do that? i question the legality of cops methods sometimes, u should look into whether or not thats its legal for a "van to clock you" and an officer in a camaro pull u over and write the ticket? i would assume that it would need to be the same officer who clocked u to be the one to pull u over..... otherwise they could have the wrong guy?? maybe i am way off base but that just seems odd to me, later
you are very lucky you weren't going 110. the penalty for doubling the speed limit is very severe but i can't remember exactly what happens: insanely high fine?, a felony?, immediately hauled off to jail?, car impounded? something like that in Kali...
Ouch. That's gotta hurt. One time I got caught doing 100+ on the freeway and the cop only wrote me up for 80.
I was so relieved... I was so scared I crapped my pants (figuratively), so he might have felt bad.
Might want to look into the legality of it like Jmm said... might be considered entrapment or something.

yeah guys - i just bought extra large supply of K1, and I'm gonna start to practice grabin' my ankles and kissin' some *** - BIGTIME, I already pay like 400 a month insurance, and just took defensive driving too (guess that didn't work too good - huh)
good going on the answer, if a copper ever asks you how fast you were going say uuh...I dont know, or if you werent speeding that much say the speed limit, but never say your actual speed. If you do it is an admission of guilt that WILL be used against you in court. You are guilty, but you can possibly beat it on a technicality, go to the court befor your hearing and file a discovery motion to get the calibration records of the laser gun, the test records for that gun, the oficer in the yellow van's certification to operate the gun, etc. Your lawyer will explain this to you more. If they cant find something or something is out of date (ex. they havent calibrated the gun in two years), you can win!

i'm pretty sure the law is 25 mph over and you can go to jail...when you go to jail, your car gets impounded...
thats the law in TX atleast...not sure about everywhere else

2 freakin hours late for work....
but next time you are two hours late for work, just drive the limit, whether it is 2hr 15min you are late, or 2hr 30min you are late, it doesn't really matter, you are still late

I just got a ticket for 76 on a 75, 41MPH over the speed limit!!! I was cooperative to the pig and he didn't give me wreckless. It's gonna be an automatic 6 points on my liscence but I didn't go to jail and nor did my car get impounded. I have court at the end of Sept. and I know I will have a hefty fine to pay. I live in VA BTW.
Yeah it's legal. I saw in some state teh cops would posea s a construction crew, one would sit in a tractor with a radar gun. Down the road, another cop did the dirty work!
Dude! You work too much!

i think in ohio you have to go double the speed limit to goto jail, cause i just got a 97 in a 65 and just got a nasty fine.. but also i think its how long since your previous offense, cause if that would of been my second ticket it would have been 8 points instead of 2.. ( 1 point for ever 5 over + first 2 if your going 30 over within a year since your last ticket ) so it all depends
At fraffic school, I learned that going 90mph on the freeway will get you arrested in california..
I think I hit 120 evertime I go on south 680..
