On the underside of the bumper cover there are slotted holes that look like a spoiler lip could attach there. Did these come with one as optional? If they did does anyone have a pic and are they still available?

 

im not sure if your reffering to this, but mines has a black spoiler(if u can call it that) its definately separate of the bumper. Its just black like the side skirts.

 

I guess I need to be more specific... I see where the bumper cover is actually 2 pieces, the piece that covers the headlights, and a lower piece that forms part of the lower radiator opening. On that part on the underside are a series of holes that seem to be for adding another piece below....

 

i know what you mean, they're kinda like some sorta key hole type shape.

i always assumed these were used to attach the type-r lower bumper spoiler thing.

 

The holes are there for an optional/oe lip spoiler. For the optional jdm SIR-G chin addon and for the oe Integra Type R chin spoiler.

Or...take the lower piece of the bumper completely off and install a Mugen one

 

yeah, its meant to fit the JDM front lip (when only the Type R had the now infamous "JDM front end) and the USDM ITR front lip...i have a lip from a type r on there and went to acura, bought the hardware for mounting and it bolted right up into those holes with the hardware and all...i'll post some pics later

 

The 97 lip is pretty hard to get ahold of, so if youve got the $, check out Comptechs 94-97 Lip, which is the same deal except it sticks on instead of bolts. Its pretty pricey for a lip though...

 

what about the tsunami... seems like a nice alternative, and it's "cheaper" than most others. what does the mugen lip look like?

 

Sort of. If you're referring to the piece I have (The same one as on Vaheh's FFSquad car), the front bolts on the spoiler went in perfectly, but I had to drill holes for the sides to bolt in.

 

Please post some pics of the different front chin spoilers for 94-97... I've never seen the Mugen or the one dc24me has. Thanks
