Default Doing a manual to auto swap but is a 96 nonvtec and 93 EX interchangeable?

Looking at buying a car for my girlfriend, a 1993 Civic EX 5 spd, and I have a friend who has a 96 hatch DX, and I was wondering if everything will fit or bolt right up without too much modifications. How about the ECU, will that work? THanks in advance.

BTW, I did the search already

Hmmmm...so what you want to do is turn the 5-speed into a automatic, and the automatic car to 5-speed? Or swap the whole engine between the two?

the manual->auto isn't too difficult from what I hear, but the reverse is going to be a pain.

In some states it's illegal to swap an older motor into a newer car...

but the swap is straigt forward barring the auto ->manual conversion.

for that you need to install the pedal set (which from what i hear sucks and can be a real pain itb). and I believe you need a special mount as the stock auto tranny sits lower or higher than the manual...

I think place racing makes the auto to manual coversion bracket.... not positive though.

you cannot use ecu's in either car unless you get a conv. harness

LoL, it's actually a Manual ~~~~> Auto, it's my girl's car, she doesn't want a 5 spd,

Yeah, I sorta knew the ECU woudln't work, but the actual mounting points and linkages will fit??

NO...

as far as I know the only mount switching kit they make is to go from auto to manual... not vice versa.
