Like the topic says. Both doors need replacing, the drivers side fender, and hatch glass need replacing. The interior is in great shape though. It doesn't run very well at all, but I still have my A6 from my Si that I could drop in it. So, do I drop the A6 in it, buy the hatch glass, and drive the beater? Do I buy new some doors and a fender if I go this route? Do I just part it out and make some cash? What do you all think?

 

Hf... so its a CRX? Where are you located?

I have a 90 CRX Si I'm parting out, not much left, but both doors are solid, although some dents that can be pushed out I think. Rear hatch with wiper is all good. Fenders aren't so good...got a few other parts on it.

 

I say you buy some doors and hatch glass for it ... check a local junkyard for the doors and fenders, I bet you could hit it all up for less than $200

where'd you get that deal? If you do decide to get rid of it I would take it off your hands for a little profit

 

get it all lookin nice... put your a6 motor in it and sell it.

I'd put on new doors and a fender, drop in the D16A6 and drive it. Get a new transaxle if you can, the HF one is really tall and will make the car really slow even with the Si engine.

 

fix the body and see why its running crappy, could be as simple as a tune up............ then enjoy the 45mpg daily driver!

I also have a 90 CRX Si chassis w/ rear disc brakes. It also has complete doors and hatch w/ glass. etc..

The only thing that you would really need would be a hood and a paint job.

You all have some great ideas. Unfortunately, all l of those ideas are in my head too and I don't know what to do. I'm going to look at a junkyard today that has two CRXs. It's pretty much someone's back yard with a bunch of cars in it. He's talking like $150 for anything I can pull and take with me. I haven't seen the cars yet, so I don't know what I'll be able to get off them. If it looks like I can get all of the body panels I need, I suppose I'm gonna try and get it running and paint it. My girlfriend has to drive 80 miles a day in her Corrado. This seems like a better car for her to make that trip in.

Southern Cali...... Prices go up. Everything is more expensive out here. Even the garbage is high priced. Kinda sucks
