Here`s my question: (as dumb as it may seem), why is the 1989 Toyota Camry the most stolen vehicle? Its a POS and its 14 years old! I don`t get it...Can someone please explain this to me? I`m thinking that they made so many of them, but I mean, c`mon now, how many times can a car be stolen? How many can there be left?

Its not a performance car, its not going to be in good shape, so what gives??? Anybody care to enlighten me on this?

Popular in that they run forever (it is a toyota) and just like most other popular models - parts are interchangable for that series of model years - i.e. engines, transmissions, fenders, doors are all swapable (sp?)

No way. Who keeps a old 1989 Toyota Camry going?

My theory:
Easy to steal when you need a ride.
