Default A little help please

I've been interested in buying a crx lately (91 to 92) and have seen that some of the crx's i have been looking at have the black plastic moldings that circle the car and then some that don't. Am i seeing this right? Is there a certain model that doesn't have these plastic moldings, because personally, that is what im looking for. sorry if this has been asked before, i tried searching, but i found nothing.

They all should have the black plastic molding. Some people just get it painted. I know in Japan that there was a factory option kit for the Si-r, but I don't know if it came painted.

thanks for such a fast reply. on another note i guess i could always just take it off and bondo and then repaint. or is there a better solution such as leaving it.

Well first off I have to say welcome to H-T.

Another thing i figured I would mention is that in the US the CRX wasnt made after 91 so that would be the last year you could get.

Also you were saying seeing ones without the black around it are you sure they were the same years? Cause the 1st gen (84-87) didnt have the molding like the 2nd gens (88-91) did. But one of the biggest things though to tell the difference is that none of the 84-87's had the rear glass window on the hatch.

As for not having the molding sure you could take it completely off and bondo up the holes and you would be fine or you could leave them on. Or paint them?? The choice is really up to you and what you prefer.

He has a body kit on it so the door pieces have you remove the moldings in order to put the kit on.

Ok, I guess I wasn't sure what you were talking about. Yeah, most likely that is the Wings West kit. Although, if you have the money you could get the real deal and buy the Mugen kit. The Wings West is a copy.
