Valve Cover Leak!

Default Valve Cover Leak!

Well the other day i was boostn like normal and all of a sudden i get on it and then i noticed it wasnt pullin as well....and i noticed white smoke from behind. Well i look under the hood and oil was leakin from around the valve cover...onto the manifold...instantly boiling it into smoke...and there was also oil on the hood...well i replaced the valve cover gasket today and it still leaks! Not anything like b4 but ...still leaks. Its comming out of my small filter on my valve cover also! HELP!!!!! Someone said something about (BLOW BY) ? HELP

That happened to me...you probably blew your rings. Do a leakdown test. I now have 700 miles on my new motor, get ready to rebuild. Sorry for the bad news.

yep same here...... do a compression test.... 1. do the test... 2. do the test again this time with oil in the cylinders. if the number rises then it is your rings.

yup...mine was so bad I also had to replace the valve cover...it actually cracked on the inside when the rings blew.

well now i have stopped the leak..x-cept for that filter on the valve cover...and it barely leaks at all...could it b somethin else like my rubber seals around the valve cover bolts? I just wanna hear anything except that!!
