Default Help! Weird Problem!

I have a 1990 CRXwith a B18A and a weird problem started yesterday. I was drivng and it felt like I went over a bump because the steering wheel jerked a bit and I heard this loud poping noise so I pulled over and checked my axles and everything seemed fine. While I was driving today it did the same thing twice. Once while I was making a left turn and the other when I was going downhill. Yesterday it was when I was making a right turn. It happens at different times and randomly. It thought it would be my axles and I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and has any advice. TIA. By the way I tried searching.

check your lower ball joint, it might be going out on you, or a tie rod end, or maybe ya just forgot to put the castle nut back on the lower ball joint??

possible cv joint prob. you need to look at the axle with the boot off and see if the joint is bad or the axle.

hope it works out for you

All the castle nuts were tight and the cotter pins were still in there. I took of the axle and it seems fine. Someone told me my axle is shot. What do you guys think? TIA

the axle can be shot with the boots looking good. try twisting each piece separately. if you have any slack at all, it's probably bad. what axles are you running/how long have you had them?

your problem actually sounds like a differential problem, though. does the guy who said your axles were shot know what the hell he's talking about?

The Inner boot on the driver's side always looks strected out when it is in. The axles are 90-93 Integra axles and I got then used with the so I am not sure how many miles are on them. And the guy who told me that i don't know him at all so i don't know how relable he is.

Take it to another mechanic and tell them what happens, it might be a tie rod end going out or possibly your steering rack is loose.
