Default questions about the wheel base of the 95 accord.

ok, so i have this idea but i am not sure if i can make it work. i ran it by my mechanic, but he needs to know the specific wheel base of the two vehicles. is there anyone that can tell what the wheel base for the 95 accord ex is, and a prelude 4 wheel steering. you can probably guess what i want to do. also, does anyone know if the all wheel drive system from a crv can be incorporated or adapted to fit the 95 accord?

crv tranny will not bolt to accord engine.

prelude crap would require extensive chopping to fit.

donate your car to monster garage.

so i would have to use a crv tranny in order to utilize the all wheel drive aspect of it? also, if the wheel base is the same, why wouldn't i be able to swap it out?

yeah, you need an AWD tranny to make an AWD drivetrain work fella.

no clearance in the center of the accord for the 4ws unit. prelude rear suspension is totally different.

here this is what you need to do if you ever want an awd 5th gen accord.

buy a JDM odyssey AWD drivetrain and transmission. It would not bolt up, lots of fab would be needed, and you would be stuck with an auto tranny.

hehe
