when i turn on my headlights, rear defroster or heat my idle raises to 1000-1100 rpm's. when the light are off and none of the other stuff is on the idle is normal at 750 so i have not adjusted it. the motor is stock, with i/h/e and no p/s or a/c. please help.

 

sounds normal.. thats how stock ecu runs the car..

 

that sounds pretty normal. the eld( electronic load detector) adjusts the idle thru the idle air controll valve to raise the the idle so the alternator can produce enough energy for the used items ( p. lights/air blower/ etc) hope that helps.!

 

its NORMAL..u should hold the drivers side window button up and then see what happens to your idle
