Default my first crash. .

Was in the canyons, took the turn to hot, crashed. . .understeered into a guardrail. My mistake. . . Just glad I didn't hurt anyone or myself. Here is the before and after pics. . .

before. . .

AFTER. . .

Still debating whether i'm gonna fix it, or getting another DA for cheap and transfering over the parts. . . We'll see. . .Looks like i'd need a headlight (1 piece), hood (carbon fiber possibly), fender, bumper (92-93). . . I love the car. .but like i said, we'll see what happens. . I'm sure someones gonna flame, but be gentle. . .you couldn't possibly say anything i haven't already thought of. .

Sorry 'bout the mishap. You'll learn.

Can I see some pics of the driver side? I can't believe there isn't any frame damge with that kind of hit.

i went underneath the guardrail. . .most of the damage is on the upper radiator support. . . thats what i'm worried about. . . the pic i poseted is the only one i have of the drivers side. . .i drove the car home from the canyon. . . no leaks, good alignment, didn't heat up. . .

well, I'm home in one piece, its just my car that came back hurt . :cP

Hopefully, it'll come back looking better than ever. I've been sayign for a long time, that it'd look really tough with a carbon fiber hood, one piece headlights, and a 92-93 Bumper. . . if its fixable, i just found my motivation. . .

I gotta admit, my pride is a LITTLE hurt. . . . Just because it was MY fault. I pride myself on being a good driver, and I made the mistake of coming into the turn to fast, and because of that, I understeered into the guardrail. While it does happen to the best of us, it was something i could have prevented. Oh well, It'll only make me a better driver.

Yea, by not driving recklessly on public roads. You're lucky you didn't hurt yourself or anybody else.

damn thats not a wreck. I rear ended someone in the rain 3 weeks ago...

http://www.aet.cup.edu/~dvilll...y.jpg

It sucks because I thought my car was clean and accident fre.. but we found out that the rad support on the drivers side had been replaced.. the factory spot welds wernt there, just a bunch of mig welds....

Good luck fixing it.. I cant find any in a pick and pull in my area... the one palce that had all the parts I needed got an attitude with me and my friend when we called him back yesterday for parts.. so now were looking else were.

BWT that aind a bad fix.... as youc ans ee mine was WAAAAAAAY worse and Im putting it back to gether... but I have a mig welder and my buddy has a paint gun so its on.

ouch, yours does look pretty bad. . .yeah, i've just been looking at the message boards for sale forums. . like in G2IC and stuff. .. most of the stuff is relatively cheap. I'm hoping the body shop can help me out with the upper radiator support though. . its pretty tweaked near where the headlight is. . .I'm just gonna get the headlights off of ebay. . . get a carbon fiber hood, and pick up the fenders and stuff wherever i can get it. . . good luck to you too. . I need to make friends with a welder myself. .hehe..

basicly its a cut and paste deal with me... the guy had a full rad support and EVERYTHING I needed but the hood was all fucked up but was straight.... My drivers side is pretty manged too... were just gonna hack one off a yard car if we can find one.... worse comes to worse Im gonna have to go back to get the parts of that guy... good luck

you guys who diss him for driving like that on a public road, perhaps forgotten the reason why they build sports cars.

**** happens. not everybody can go ***** out on a track. why do they have events and cruises for people to see what their cars can do?

sure it's unfortunate and dangerous to other people (like at the race track, where a race car losing control could mean engine/suspension/body parts flying at you over 150 mph), and that's why it shouldn't always be done (don't tell me you haven't had some fun @ 3AM in the morning with nobody else but the crickets out). but then again, it wouldn't be fun if it weren't...

My son had a '90 LS and had almost the exact same damage when he turned to the left to avoid a car that pulled in front of him. The other driver's insurance totaled the car and gave him more than what he paid for it. Now he's got a '91 MR@ turbo. I feel bad for ya man.
