Non OEM parts quality? (fenders)
Well, after a trip to a local junkyard in search of two front fenders which turned out
unsuccessful, I was told that another option I have is to order "aftermarket"
fenders from a non-OEM manufacturer for $110 a side. Not bad considering stock
fenders from Acura are $485
, but my question is should I go with the
non-OEM fenders? The OEM fenders are paper thin as it is so I doubt (touches
wood) the fenders in question could be much worse. Well, tell me what you think.

hey big ed,
where did you go to look for fenders? there's only a few yards that actually stock all the hondas and acuras, and 2 and 4 door are the same. I'm sure you can get some oem ones from all the people that have been doing jdm front end conversions. Fitment is your main concern, if you can, drive your car to the place with the non-oem, without your fender. Then ask if you can overlay it and see how it fits. If it looks good to you and all the gaps match up, then it's good. Also where did you get that quote from? cush acura? or ahmotor?

8balls right, thickness of aftermarket fenders aren't your main concern...its fitment...some are actually good but thats usually just dumb luck...most if not all fit like crap! some parts are better than others...bumpers, hoods...but for some reason these manufacturers cant get fenders right. i do alot of bodywork/custom and back to stock...and ive NEVER EVER seen an after market fender fit well...also, try looking around more...you can find DC used fenders EVERYWHERE! man! your in cali...this is honda haven... do a better search..you'll find em...if all else fails...HAP recycling will have used ones, but theyre usually the pricey ones...
I bought a front numper, hood and right fender from Certi-Fit.
True the fender sheetmetal was thinner then stock - but fitment wise...it looks great. No problems with the fitment at all.
And price? $98 for all THREE pieces

8Ball - the quote was from Cush.
Too bad I didn't have a chance to hear what SurgeGT said earlier, I already
ordered a set for $192 for the both. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
