Lowes Garages
Speaking of LMS, just a note, they have paved the infield. What was grass between T2 and the short chute is now a parking lot. When we were there they used empty 50 gallon plasitic drums to mark the edge of the track. BTW, mirrors and 50 gal. plastic drums, drums win
The covered paddock has electrical sockets, would think the actual garages do as well.

the line thru the infield should be quite interesting.
there will be no crap (rock/dirt) drug onto the track but the fresh blacktop will make for some different lines that is for sure.

Unless you are talking about something very recent, the track itself was no different. Same paved surface from before, it appears - if anything - there is actually a sliver they covered w/ barrels but I doubt anyone would have tracked out over there (at the end of the wall). When we walked the track some 5 weeks ago, the pavement was the same as last year, no new black top. You are right that there won't be any debris at the apex of 3A (a big ole blue barrel maybe
) but exit of 3B is just the same ole romp through the dust and dirt about every other lap
Also, look for some new patches in 4A as we encountered the formation of a pretty decent sized pothole at apex a couple feet in from the grass. Of-course, they could have completely repaved the whole infield in the last 5 or so weeks (I really hope not - I love the apex patchwork). Just reporting on what we drove on. Oh at our driver's meeting, they said anyone short-cutting the course due to misplaced barrels would be given a one lap penalty - I'd assume NASA would have a similar rule.

the infield track surface has not changed.. i did not mean to suggest othewise. sorry
but with somewhat movable barrels acting as rumble strips and nothing but pavement as far as the eye can see on drivers right after infield T2.... there will be some fun driving thru there IMO.
