don't get kumho 712's if you're going to be auto-xing or road racing. I've had mine for like 6 months, did 3 auto-x events and a driving school, and the tires are toast. But, for daily driving, they're pretty good. My dad has avs es100's on his svt contour, and they're really nice. They're quiet, fairly cheap, and handle well. Good luck with what you purchase.

If you have an America's Tire/Discount Tire in your area, they should keep a stock of several types of tires. When I last bought tires, Discount had a few sets of 712's and AVS ES100's in 205/50/15.

You won't find them anywhere else. Yokohama's factory is just starting to produce the ES100 tires in the 195/55-15 size this month, so nobody will have them until they start getting delivered, about a month from now.
If you are willing to take the 205/50-15 size instead, they should be easy to find, from Tire Rack and other sources.

Yokohama AVS ES100's
i have them on my 16"s slipstreams.
I have kumho ESCTA 712's on my stock GSR rims and they are ok. nothing to write home about. I picked up a set of four for $59 each.
The ES100's are great and worth waiting for if you can.

I ordered my 195/55-15 ES100's from tirerack about a month ago for $57 each I believe, and I'm glad I did cause they appear to be out of stock everywhere now. I really didn't feel a difference with the tire in compairson to stock michelins, but I did notice I can no longer chirp third now, and I barely chirp second.

the es100 > kuhmo 712, you can get either from Discount tire, if you have a Dixcount tire around you, go there and if the size is available at all, they WILL get the tires for you as fast as possible.

When tires cup, you can feel the tires and you will feel bumps in the tire, which means it usually "cupped" or "feathered" which usaully has something to do with a lack of rotating your tires

I would recomend America's Tires/Discount Tires. Tire Rack has a good website for tech info. and to get tire comparisons. I have Yokohama Parada Spec-2 on Konig 17 wheels. I tried the Yokohama AVS however experienced some tire rubb in the rear wheel wells. If you are considering lowering your car, I would reccommend the Parada Spec-2. It has a better designed for a lowered car. I got my tires at Discount tires and it only took them a few days to get them in the store.

Correct. Straight from front to back and vice versa.

Of the 4 tires that I've had so far...
Stock -

Kumho 712 -
Falken Azenis -

Yokohama ES100 -

IMO the ES100 is the best daily driver tire that I've had so far.
Keep in mind my car is strictly for daily driving.
Oh and I ordered a set of Yokohama ES100's 205/50/15 from http://www.tirerack.com on 7/31 and they got here 8/5

I've had azenis for about 10,000 miles.............
= grip is sick, peopl will have a hard time beating you off of the line with them ( if you launch right)
they wear pretty fast, and DO NOT drive fast in the rain with them.

I have driven on most tires out there. I currently use the ES100's on my 90 Integra (205-50-15) and love them. Couldn't believe how well they worked on a 6 hour track session. Especially when you sonsider I usually use Toyo RA-1's on the track. Very very satisfied Yoko owner.
Don't get the Kumho 711 or 712, they both really suck, I did a full 2 minute burnout on the 712's to burn them off I hated them so much. Had to justify buying new tires some how
Although the new Kumho MX's are supposed to be really good, although more expensive than the ES100.
