my friend has a gsr and he just resently bought the car and the car is stock except for a exhaust and a rs akimoto intake and u can't here **** on his intake compared to other gsr's i've heard can someone tell me what the problem might be.

 

Well, if he already has an exhaust on it, that would cancel out the intake whine because exhaust is much louder. Also, intakes aren't loud at all, especially the short ram like rs akimoto.

 

Not having a loud intake would be described as a Good Thing by many. I guess you need to swap it for a worse-designed intake which makes lots of annoying whistling noise so you can feel like your car is fast?

Your intake being loud doesnt mean its fast, or the lack of sound doesnt mean something is wrong.
