90CRX SI to JDM B16 wire harness question?
I was putting my CRX SI harness on my Jdm B16 last night. One of the sensors looks to be different. The coupler does not match up and the new harness has 2 wires going to it instead of 1. The sensor is above and to the left of the oil filter and below the intake. I have a pic I can email. Do I need to swap sensors with my si? If I did swap sensors would the new ECU read it? Or do I need to wire up the other coupler using one of the wires? Anyone else run into this?
Thanks
Thanks
The JDM B16A has a knock sensor. Your 90 CRX si's D16A6 does not. That is what the different plug is for. You need to take the B16A wiring and add it to your harness, just like you would with the VTEC wiring.
You are right!
I thought about it today and I determined that it is the knock sensor. I think the harness connector I was trying to plug into it used to go to the cold idle sensor on the Si engine? That unit does not appear to exist on the B16, so do I just leave that connector unplugged? Also if that is the case has anyone tryed to replace that connector with the Knock sensor and use that wire into the ecu?
