Launch in Type S
I hvent gone to the track yet but if i was gonna id probably launch at 5K rpms and feather the clutch to hook up. Some wheel spin is better than no wheel spin. just my advice
Curious to know myself. I know most cars with low-torque/high HP #s (EDIT: with a broad powerband) need to be launched somewhat high. I couldn't even launch at that RPM in my car.

launch at 2.5-3k but feather/slip the clutch...if u pop the clutch at 3-5k there is a good chance that in the long run ur axles are gonna snap. the tracks are sticky enough so ur best bet is to lean how to launch by feathering/sliping the clutch
Theres a midpoint somewhere between wheel hop so bad it makes your headlights crack, and riding the clutch so bad it smells like a you're cooking a ham basted in floor wax. That midpoint is where you need to be aiming for.

good suggestion hatch2k
One of my friends launches on the 5500 rpm limit on drag radials and pulls fine, but gets wheelspin if he doesn't clear the water off good enough. Another of my friends launches at around 4k on the stock tires and just feathers it and pulls 2.2/2.3 60' times.
But as hatch2k said...you just gotta find that right point. haha.

it's there to keep you from over revving in neutral, and no I was not meaning launches in neutral; I think you knew what I meant- I was tired- it was late last night
