Redline Water Wetter, good all year round?
I'm gonna replace my coolant soon so I figure I might add some water wetter. Its already August though so summer is half over and I'm wondering if there are any adverse effects of it when winter time comes. Mainly I am using it for its advertised corrosion reducing properties and such, if they are true. TIA!
If I'm not mistaken, you add Water Wetter to water in your radiator. This is in place of the usual anti-freeze coolant. I'm not sure about where you live, but around here, come late October that water will start to freeze, expanding in your cooling system and causing cracks and leaks all over the place. In other words, I wouldn't use the stuff in the cold months.
If I'm not mistaken, Water Wetter does not do anything to prevent corrosion.
It will help bring down the temperature when your engine is about to overheat.
You might want to go to http://WWW.redlineoil.com and do your own research.

yup your right...they reccommend 15% antifreeze for corrosion protection and the rest of the 85% being water wetter and water
