I'm not saying it was good but they made 190 some odd whp with crane stage 1's and ITB's....
They balanced the bottem end, and put crower rods/je high dome pistons in, and they broke 200whp with more tuning, not sure what else they did, mostly fuel management, and stuff... anyone else care to comment? I didn't like the article at all, but it was interesting.

even if it did make 200whp.. waht good would that do anyone when you can get more power with less work in a b18??

well, if you don't want to look at that, they have a great step by step LSD install on a H22 tranny... parts/torque specs and everything

it's hard to be different these days with a B series but it's nice to see they didn't got with a b18. not many people are doing it anymore. doing something that isn't easy and straightforward is what people would call a challenge. Some people like challenges.
for going with a b16.

hahaha..you are funny. you didn't even read the article. do you even own the magazine? what a ******* joke. you seem so interested in the article, yet almost everything that you said about it is incorrect. i'm not even going to go through the entire article, but, they used stage #3 Crane cams, Probe rods, extrude honed head, etc. anyway, its a decent achievement, if it is true though, because that motor kind of proves exactly what benefits you can achieve with a near perfect r/s ratio and very good tuning. i know that itb's create mad power when used, but i was mindbending when i saw that motor maintain 200whp from 8800rpm (this was where the motor peaked) and hold it up to 9400rpm. can you say madness? anyway, i'm not saying that the 16 is by any means comparable to a bigger displacement motor, i'm just saying that a b16 can hang when built right. the motor made (81.5mm bore) 193whp & 133wtq with a ported gen 2 b16 intake manifold (not itr, j/g, skunk2). i don't know but, i know many lsvtec's, b18c's/c5's in my area that make about 190whp & 13xwtq, and spent as much money as HCI did, and a few people actually spent more because a couple of them have JUN 3's) is it me, or did this motor overachieve? i do have a couple of doubts though, because there are a few inconsistencies in both parts 1 & 2 like exhaust size and a lack of the torque portion of the dyno, but, ****, everybody talks **** nowadays. holla atcha' boy

200 whp was made with B16s and ITR intake manifolds on some World Challenge cars 2 years ago.

Gotta love the ability to hold a completely flat tq curve all the way till almost 9k....even if it isnt much tq. The B16 is a great engine when built the right way.

I think if they used some better cams ect.. they could make even more power... they didnt really put alot of money into the motor as far as building an all motor beast goes. just alot of dyno time. It's good to be the underdog, who needs the extra .2 liters...
and yes, i only skimmed through it the first time i read it, i was just looking to see if anyone actually saw it... so
to the noob that made the stupid unnecessary comments.
