MANUAL TRANSMISSION.......!!!!!!
A manual transmission will make the most difference. I/H/E on an automatic will put the car about where it would be stock with a 5 speed.

get a manual conv. go find a GSR tranny or better yet a Type R!

ITR and 94-UP GSR trannies are all hydraulic, the 90-93 Integras are cable. You will not just be able to bolt up a 94 and up GSR or an ITR tranny to the '92 Integra. You could swap the internals into an LS YS1 casing but that's probably more trouble than it's worth.
I'd recomend finding a Y1 or S1 short gearted B16 tranny, or a 92-93 GSR YS1 tranny (the latter being slightly more difficult to come across).

FOR SALE SIGN???
just kidding, i have the same car, its REALLY heavy and not going anywhere fast.
if its just for fun and he's not trying to become johnny rocket the street racer, i would get a bolt on turbo kit for your couple grand, and enjoy the daily driving of an automatic.

haha...i too have an auto G2 sitting around.....
and have also debated this topic.....
the decision i came to was that for the trouble.....might as well pick up a complete b16 swap and call it good!!

There a few posts in the CRX/EF forum that talk about auto to manual tranny conversions. There are very few differences between the 2nd gen Integra and 4th gen Civic when it comes to installing the pedals assembly etc. Good luck...
