What cams would you recommend for my setup and why?
B18C block has LS Crank and B16 Pistons. Compression is about 11:5 to 1. I have done some research but I just wanted to see what more experienced individuals think. I was thinking Skunk2 stage 2 or just CTR's. I didn't know if my compression was too low for the higher lift cams.
I would choose CTR because I had skunk2 stage2 and was not impressed by the power band of those cams. S2S2 are great if you want high end power. I wanted power in the usable range for daily driving so I went with Toda spec b.
I don't think my compression is high enough for Toda B's. I hear they like 12:1 - 12:5 compression.

S2 stage 2's may make more power up top but you'll need supporting in/out components to make it use of the high end power.
CTR's will give you better 5.5k to 7k power. Also factor in what rpm you are shifting at.
What tranny are you running? You'll want your rpm drop from up shifting to land at or above peak torque.
Here are the rpm drops with a GSR tranny when up shifting shifting at 8,000 rpms
from 1st to 2nd your at ~4,900 rpms
from 2nd to 3rd your at ~5,600 rpms
from 3rd to 4th your at ~6,100 rpms
from 4th to 5th your at ~ 6,100 rpms
Using this tranny it is best to have your peak torque around 5,500 rpms otherwise the motor won't recover as fast as it should during up shifts. This is why LSVtec's are so lethal on the streets. Peak torque occurs sooner on most LSVtecs than GSR's and B16's so a LSvtec is more likely to be in the optimal power band.
Remember, racing on the streets/track involves the motor pulling thru several gears while on the dyno its only tested in a one gear.
Hope's this helps.

the stage 2's will work awsome.
i just finished dring around for 5 days an EG hatch, with a stock itr bottom and and skunk stage 2 cams.
the car felt perfect. and thats on maybe 11-1 compression. maybe your not gonna hit 200 on the dyno, but i think you will be more happy with those and being able to upgrade your car more to use them effectivly.
rather then getting a small cam and wishing you had a bigger one.
i personally have the jun3's in my set up, which is the same as yours. ls with b16 pistson and b16 head. I LOVE UM!!!

Thanks everyone. For the money I'm going with CTR's for now. I'll go with something bigger once my motor goes and I rebuild.
