As topic states, I am wondering if the distributors are the same and can be used interchangeably. My car stalled out and then when i tried to start it again, it wouldnt start. I had this happen about a month ago where my car stalled for no reason and then it took me about five tries before it would start again. I mean it turns over, but wont start. Now it happened again, but wont start. We think its the distributor....any thoughts on this? and will the ls distributor work on my gsr motor?

no, theyre not. the lobes for the bolts wont line up

Are you sure that the distributor is the problem and not the PGM-FI relay?

 

Yes...You can interchange them...You have to cut the leg on a LS distributor in order for it to fit a vtec head...Sometimes you get problems when vtec comes on but it will work...

hmm....well I am not 100% sure, but we didnt have time to pull out a plug and see if it was getting spark......what would be the signs if it was the PGM-FI relay?
