Default Response from skunk about h22 manifold.

I wrote them a few weeks ago about the availability date for the h22 skunk manifold. here was his response:

Aaron,

Thank you for your interest and support with Skunk2 Racing Products. Unfortunately it is taking a little longer for us to release the H22 manifold. However, I can assure you that it will be worth the wait. We are expecting to see our first batch come in towards the end of August! I suggest placing your order early with your dealer so that you can make sure you get one! The SOHC manifolds sold out in 2 days! I get a lot of people asking about these H22 ones. Check back in with us for updates! Thanks again.

Best Regards,

i'll make you one out of PVC... i'll use 3" diameter piping for the body, and 2" pipes for the runners.....

the sad thing is, most of us can do nothing but wait.

i wish i had the ingeniuity / knowledge of some of the people here, but alas....

now if those people were to capitalize on what seems to be a decent market/demand for a high performance, single runner NA manifold for the H22A, they would be taking away the cash from skunk2.

I dont really care much for skunk2 products, i almost bought some cam gears from them, but i passed. Whats pathetic though is if they released the manifold tommorow i would hand them the cash.

D:

edit: i want to call skunk2 and record the conversation. I will probably be using my cell phone though...is there any way i can do this?

Okay here is what we do! We all pitch in and buy a euro Accord R manifold. Have it fully modified for NA HP. Then we have someone make us a CF version of it! Man, that would be Fukin sweet!

i'm working on a composite im... since i don't have a milling machine or lathe ..i 'm pretty restricted to my building foundations.. so i use what i can...

what i could do in 10 hours with proper tools takes me 20 but i get the same end results but with alot more elbow grease...

I know how to design a perfectly good mold for a composite intake manifold, the only hard part is the flange at the TB and the head, and since i have one of each i'm ok to build one. but if somebody offered cnc flanges for a h22a manifold, i could send help build a manifold...

i guess most of us will have to wait for the manifold.....

I spoke with the skunk2 dealer today who knows what's up with skunk2 fairly well.

Let's just say that for most of the year skunk2 has been in a lot of chaos. They have experienced a huge turnover in staff either by them leaving or the head dude getting people out. The company was largely out of control and the changes over the last several months have brought control back (hopefully. For a while there it was the top guy that was answering the phones!

Anyways things seem to be back on track, but I'll reserve my call on the manifold till I see it, either I should have some nice things to add to the engine in the winter

Someone was trying to sell one on ebay a couple of days ago but I can't find it anymore. They had a small generic picture that looked like a gsr intake.
