*TECHNICAL NOTE
This exhaust manifold is only compatible with the Japanese DC5 Type-R. The front stabilizer bar must be removed in order to install this product on the North American specifcation RSX Type-S. This is due to differences in the North American RSX Type-S front suspension components. An exhaust manifold specifically for the North American Type-S models is in development.

They have had a problem with the header hitting the stabilizer bar since they first made the Toda RSX. I take it they could not do anything about it hitting the bar, but to tell everyone to remove the bar.

The header is nice but I need the car to be stiff as I enter and exit a turn. It's good to have the hp, but what good is hp if you can't control your car.

Nice header but I would rather spend the cash and get the comptech race header which allows us to keep our stabilizer bars.

Uh bob, I don't think they planned on everybody buying one. This isn't for your local ricer boys to install, brag about, and do nothing useful with.

Hey bob, this is why they are working on a version for NA.

Last time I checked my name was not "bob". Look at the sig to see my name.
I read thier site and it said the head was for R and S. But for the header to be used on the Type S we had to remove the stabilizer bar. I plan to track my car so this was an option I was not going to do. If they make a NA version then I will check it out, if not I will go with the comptech race header and be happy.

Go to this link and carefully read what it says directly under the picture http://www.todaracing.com/prod....html

"Available for: K20A Type-R*"

That means ONLY for the Type-R. Their tech notes say they're working on one for the north american Type-S. If they don't put why it doesn't fit the Type-S, all the rice boys will be calling up asking why it doesn't fit.

Ok.. But did you miss this when you opened the page bro.

What does it say? This is why I assumed it was for the Type S as well. Maybe you should read what it says in big bold letters huh.

Who care, the main point is the Toda header available now will only fit on the Type R, the Type S version will be out in later date.

Maybe the Type-R stabilizer bar can replace the Type-S and then you can use the Type-R header. Because they may make the Type-s fit around the stabilizer bar restricting hp, maybe.

holy cow, no need to jump all over everyone's back here people.

i think the type r & s title meant that that page will eventually hold the info for the type r (out now) EM and the type s (in development) EM later. i didn't take it as one header fits both. i'm sure you can do that if you remove the front bar, but what's the point of even considering that option when they are coming out w/ another EM to fit the usdm car w/out modifications to the front suspension?

can we all just get along?

WOW

An auxiliary oxygen sensor port is built into to every header to allow for fitment of lamda meters and air/fuel ratio monitors. This will allow for precise tuning of engine management systems and fuel control devices.

Did you see those numbers? That and an intake netting 37 HP, 21 TQ on a 4 cylinder is nuts
