Anyone know where to get these tires in the States besides Japan?

I think you can get them through Lotus dealers. These are semi-popular tires for Miata drivers.

They're lighter than most tires and stick well. It's like having Azenis with T1-S weight. The biggest disadvantage is the price/hassle...

Being that these tires are not DOT approved, what form of competition are you intending to use them in?

If you're going to run in a class that allows non-DOT tires, you have to be on full slicks if you want to compete.

That's what I've never really understood. I don't really feel like we're necessarily cheated with what's available in the US tire market enough to want to go through the trouble of "importing" a set of tires. I'm sure they're great tires, but I'm guessing the folks that want these want them for the show-and-tell factor.
