what do you guys think would be the fastest single cam motor and easyest to swap into my 91 dx hatch. i was thinking just an si out of a crx with some mods would be pretty fast. does anyone know what a crx si would run in a 91 hatch?thanks

 

Either do a Si swap, or MPFI conversion, then work your way up. I would recomment a SOHC VTEC swap, but I think you can still get excellent power out of an A6 motor. The VTEC engagement can be a big hassle, if you want to do it right at least...

 

do you mean do a mpfi conversion to my dx motor?also what exactly is a mpfi conversion and how much of a gain would that be? i know that its multi port fuel injection but thats about it. thanks for your help.

 

Well you can do a search for either MPFI swap or DPFI to MPFI and you will have tons of info on it cause its been covered a billion times already. As for the increase you doing the MPFI swap will put you at what an Si has (about a little less) but then again you could just put a whole A6 head on it as well then you have the better cam also.
