Default Silly seat swap question for 92 Civic Si

My drivers seat is really starting to get the ghetto/stylin' layback from my weight over the last 165,000 miles and I am concerned that it may fail during a stressful lapping day. I know that 3rd gen Integra seats are a direct bolt in swap for a 5th gen Civic. I have also been told that delSol seats are very easy to do by just changing the seat rails. (Just how easy is that to do anyway?) What else is an easy swap that is a good seat for not a lot of $$. (6th gen? new Si?)

Is there a difference between drivers seats in a 4door sedan vs a coupe or 3door hatch? (for example the seat release to make the seat fold forward?)

Thanks in advance!

i have had stock Si, Del sols, ITRs, and am switching to JDM Recaros. IMO Del Sol seats are the best seat out there for money they hold you really well and have lots of colors for you to choose from and they are very aboundent(sp?). Swapping brackets isn't that hard it took me about 25-30 min a seat to get them out the brackets off and on the new seat and back in per seat so it isn't that hard.

Don't worry about how they move up worst case scenario you have to pull the lever up slide the seat forward and then move the backrest up i think most of the 2 door cars have a spring loaded type thing and they spring forward on the passenger side i don't know though.

IMO 6th gen civic seats suck very uncomfordable they stayed in my car for about a month or so. And the new Si seats look too cheaply made and the bolsters arn't that big.

That would be fine as I have a problem with headroom when I have my helmet on.

The rails are a simple job. 30-40 minutes for the swap. They sit about 1-1.5" lower than the OEM seats. A little strange at first for shorties like me, but you get used to it fast. They're really comfortable and hold on well with the lateral Gs though. They actually even will fit a harness through the headrest too.

i have sat in the del sol seats, gsr cloth seats, ls seats, and si seats... imo i would take the gsr if it was between function and comfort or the del sol for jus plain function... but both are nice and to me the price would be the deciding factor

I've got Del Sol seats in my HB. Like everyone else said, super easy swap. I dig sitting a little lower...makes it feel more cockpit-like. I paid $175 for mine. I've seen them as high as $300 apiece (over-priced junkyard) and as low as $100 for the pair, in excellent shape.

My friend had del sol's and i could see how they are good for occasional track use, but for long driving i think they sucked, they are really firm. Only complaint i had.

I have Cloth GSR seats in my EG9, i love em. Perfect support, i used my EG rails so they sit lower, cool lumbar ***** to adjust perfectly. And they have upper and lower bolster support.

Here are mine
