89 crx si motor swap to zc motor how do i wire the distributor?
i put the motor and bolted it to the tranny. now how do i hook the distributor up because they have almost the same color codes and i spliced them to matcha and i have two odd ball wires that don't match so i connected one and the car starts but it won't go over 3500 rpms also i still have the crx comp. Please help
sounds pretty weird, try a few different combinations. When I hooked up my '95's dist. a few wires where at different colors, and it works. ONE MORE THING:you might want to change your user name. not too many people in this forum like mustangs.

same ? I posted in a different thread, was your A6 motor in bad condition?
Why go for the ZC???
If your original motor was in good condition, just high miles, then why not rebuild it with the money you used on the ZC?

The wires on the harness side will look different due to age. The wires will match color to color, but on the harness side the white wires may look almost pink/oraneish, the others should match up relatively easily. Those web sites confused me & didn't work- once I did it color to colr myself it worked fine- the hardest part will be teh 2 white wires b/c thre is no distinguishing difference between them. HTH
