Well after reading tons on A/M intakes avalible for the type R I finally decided that the J's intake would suit my needs better than an Aem Cai

so today i head out to Aj-R and picked up a J's intake for 350 cdn on sale...saved myself 100 bucks!

Went to my buddies place and installed it...i ended getting some coolant on my hands and it smelled like i pissed on myself and didn't clean up after haha

once installed we took it around the block, and man does the intake sound mean at wot...we hit vtec and it just screamed hahaha and now i can't seem to get a smile off my face when driving

J's intake is a great intake. Glad that it is finally mainstream now compared to a year ago.

 

Funny that People Laughed at me when I suggested this INTAKE a bit more than a year ago. Now people are all over it.

just do an Archived search for "J's racing intake" and you'll find some.


To anybody that has the J's intake, I'm wondering what you guys did with the 2 coolant lines?
I completely took out the line that comes outta the TB and connected the one on the head stright to the TB

IMO the j's dont sound as good as the AEM in vtec, not even close. The j's sound like any other short ram, and has that droone at 3/4 trottle thats just down right nasty.

 

im liking my J's racing so far, had the aem for a while but sold it for a J's dont regret it YET...LOL...however the AEM sounded better at VTEC
